I like to have an initial meeting with you in the place where your commission will reside or at least a description of the room. We can talk about everything you would like in the design including:
Design process can be a drawing all the way up to a 3D design.
For substantial commissions I require a non-refundable $250 deposit to cover the design process. This deposit will be applied to the cost of your commission.
After our initial meeting I will provide you with a written proposal that is good for 30 days. If you find the proposal acceptable, I will require a 50% down payment. This payment allows me to purchase materials and store them in my shop so they can acclimate to my shop environment. Wood moves in response to new environments so a two-to-four week period is necessary to stabilize it before building your piece.
Feel free to visit the shop and follow progress that is usually documented on our Instagram account. I usually document every step of the process so you can see exactly how it all comes together. I welcome comments along the way. Substantial commissions require 1-3 months to complete. Once assembly is complete prior to finish being applied another 30% will be required
Clients may be subject to charges for any changes made to the original design. These charges are applied to cover the costs associated with accommodating and implementing the requested modifications.
When your piece is complete I will contact you to schedule delivery. Upon delivery, payment of the balance due is required.
